The 16ᵗʰ
ERBIL BUILD EXPO (Erbil International Building and Construction Exhibition) officially concluded its four-day run today at the Erbil
International Fair Ground, marking the close of a highly productive edition centered on strategic trade agreements and high-level technical negotiations. The premier industry gathering firmly solidified its role as a pivotal platform for cross-border commerce, bringing together international manufacturers, regional contractors, and key public-sector decision-makers.
Substantial Commercial Outcomes
Throughout the event, the exhibition halls maintained a strong, business-focused momentum. The 2026 edition delivered tangible market outcomes, connecting 470 exhibiting
companies from 20 countries with more than 16,000 professional trade
buyers, engineers, and project developers representing 21 nations.
Structured B2B matchmaking sessions resulted in immediate on-site agency agreements, supply contracts, and long-term procurement frameworks. International exhibitors across structural engineering, MEP systems, heavy machinery, architectural finishing, and green building technologies successfully established direct ties with regional contractors, major distributors, and ongoing development projects.
Public-Private Alignment and
Strategic Dialogue
Organized by PYRAMIDS GROUP and EIF, the exhibition operated under the patronage of the Prime Ministry of the
Kurdistan Regional Government and saw active engagement and official visits from key bodies, including the Ministry of
Interior, Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism, Ministry of Electricity, and
Ministry of Industry and Minerals, alongside the Office
of the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry and the Office of
the Deputy Minister of Housing and Reconstruction.
High-level delegations—accompanied by the Governor of Erbil, the Head of the Department of Foreign
Relations, the Chairman of the Board of Investment, the Heads of
the Soran and Zakho Independent Administrations, alongside Directors General representing Trade, Investment, Planning and Reconstruction, and Electricity—conducted comprehensive site tours across the fairgrounds to evaluate modern construction technologies for active public and private infrastructure pipelines. This high caliber of attendance was echoed in exhibitor feedback, which highlighted direct access to qualified buyers, with a significant majority of participating brands already confirming their presence for the next cycle.
